Welcoming Matt Bassett
We’re thrilled to strengthen our leadership team and welcome our new Finance and Commercial Director
Following the retirement of Dave Pearson early in the summer, Matt joins N-Gen from TTEP UK&I, a flexible power generation company that owns, operates and develops power assets across the UK and Ireland.
Matt brings more than 15 years of finance and commercial experience, including over seven years in the energy sector. Throughout his career, he has held a range of senior roles spanning financial leadership, strategic planning and commercial decision-making. At TTEP, Matt held a number of positions, including overseeing the Finance function and playing a key role in several strategically important initiatives.
He previously led the Commercial Finance function at Card Factory, partnering with the retail and commercial teams to drive business performance and long-term planning. Matt began his career with EY, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant while working across a range of audit engagements for major corporate clients in sectors spanning telecommunications, retail, and property development.
On his appointment, Matt said: “I'm delighted to be joining N-Gen at such a significant moment for the energy sector. As the industry continues its journey towards decarbonisation, businesses have a vital role to play in supporting the transition while continuing to deliver for customers and communities. What particularly attracted me to this opportunity was the chance to join an organisation with ambitious plans, a talented team and the ability to make a meaningful contribution to that transition, while building on my experience in the flexible generation sector. I'm excited to get started, work alongside colleagues within the business and across the wider CKI family, and help to support N-Gen’s next phase of growth and success.”
